A study of the five basic themes of geography; the basic character of the lithosphere and the impact of plate tectonics on world landscapes, the earth's major and minor landforms; geomorphic agents and processes which sculpture the earth's surface; the aquatic realm and the impact that oceans have upon terrestrial landscapes. Course includes a laboratory component. Prerequisite: Admission to teacher education program. Permission of Teacher Education Chair required. This course may be taken to satisfy a science or social science course requirement for early childhood education and elementary education students.
