A study of the foundational elements of the Catholic faith, namely the Catholic understanding of God, Jesus as the Christ, and human personhood, and how these elements interrelate in the contemporary Catholic theology. Special attention will be given to the changes introduced in the Second Vatican Council and some of the more contentious issues in the American Catholic church.
