Prerequisite: Departmental placement or MATH 099 or its equivalent as determined by the department Offered every semester This course uses a modeling approach. Problems that can be solve using linear, polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions are explored. An introduction to probability theory is included. The graphing calculator is an integral part of this course. The TI-83 plus or TI-84 plus graphing calculator is required. Note: Students with prior credit for MATH 131 and MATH 132 should take MATH 231 rather than MATH 112.
