Topics include causes of poverty and wealth; nature of economic growth; the roles of the state, markets, and social and cultural institutions in economic development. Prerequisites: ECON B200, B201; junior standing. Major and minor prerequisites: grade of C (2.0) or better in ECON B200 and ECON B201.
