This course is a hands-on course designed to introduce mass communication majors to the field of digital communications. Students will learn critical thinking skills about the technology used to produce mass media messages in modern American society. Students learn visual theories and elements and principles of design for several key media: video, print, and the web. The digital communication student will leave this course versed in current media technologies with a critical understanding of its use in creating memorable and meaningful communication materials. Required for Mass Communication majors. Prerequisite: CMMN A101 with minimum grade of C (2.0); or permission of director.
