This course is a study of selected topics from the history and nature of mathematics from ancient to modern times, with an emphasis on the historical development of mathematics through a study of biographies of prominent mathematicians and the evolution of important mathematical concepts. The fundamental role of mathematics in the rise, maintenance, and extension of modern civilization will also be considered. Prerequisites: MATH 2325 and MATH 3113. Course Rotation: Varies.
