A competency-based course, for students who have not had high school Algebra I or whose algebraic skills are weak. Course content includes: a review of signed numbers; a comprehensive study of real numbers; solving linear equations and inequalities; introduction to exponents; introduction to polynomials; factoring; and rational expressions. Prerequisites: MATH 0903 or a minimum ACT mathematics subscore of 13 or an Accuplacer arithmetic score of 63-120 or equivalent. Grading: Pass/Fail.
