In-depth study of discipline-specific principles of secondary curriculum and instruction. Topics include: theory and standards organizing disciplinary scope and sequence; preparation of activities, lessons and unit plans; micro-teaching; and the study and application of integrative principles and techniques. Students develop competencies in disciplinary curriculum design and expand repertoire of assessment and instructional strategies appropriate to their content area. Prerequisites: Acceptance into the Teacher Education Program and EDUC 3403.
