Group instruction for students with limited or no background in singing. The course will also include the following segments: development of music-reading skills, basic anatomy and function of the breathing and vocal mechanisms, maintaining vocal health, major composers and performers of vocal repertoire, styles of vocal repertoire and an introduction to singer's diction. Satisfies two hours of the general education requirements in Fine Arts. Required of elective choir scholarship recipients in their first year. Fall
