(Cross-listed with PHIL 471.) Survey of trends shared by the Western humanities from Impressionism through post-modernism. Studies the movement of ideas and their historical backgrounds through an integration of literature, the visual arts, and music. Encourages students to broaden their knowledge of Western cultural traditions and contemporary ideological currents. Capstone course for the Humanities minor. Team-taught every other year. Prerequisites: HUMN 231 and HUMN 233.
