An analysis of the historical reality of Spain from the Civil War and the years of Franco's regime to the period of economic and social transformation that took place after his death and continues today. The course will also analyse the challenges facing Spain in terms of its position within an enlarging European Union, and its relationship with the United States and Latin America in an era of globalization and wide-reaching technological changes.
