This course builds on content taught in prior nursing courses. Emphasis is placed on the application of the nursing process in providing therapeutic nursing interventions to adults with complex health problems: acute illness, multi-system disease, and trauma. Content includes the use of equipment, technology, procedures and pharmacological agents commonly used in the treatment of complex health problems. The nurse's role in providing and managing care for clients with complex alterations in health in hospital settings is addressed. Prerequisites & Notes Senior level status. (Cr: 8)
