This course is intended to give the student a breadth of knowledge regarding wine. With roots dating back eight thousand years, wine is woven into modern day traditions and cultures. The student will learn the history of wine and its reciprocal influences of wine with agriculture, language, art, chemistry, economics, geography, health and culture. Wine tasting is a component of this course, consequently students must be 21 years of age. Satisfies the Social Science core requirement. Prerequisites & Notes Age 21, junior or senior year status, and permission of instructor. Course Fee: $50.00. (Cr: 3)
