Students investigate the properties of interior finishes, furniture and textiles. The appropriate selection and specification of materials based upon code, occupant comfort, universal design, sustainability and aesthetics is researched. Life cycle analysis and life cycle costing and software analysis tools are used to determine the source, manufacture, use, transportation and disposal of a product. Viable information sources for sustainable products are explored. Prerequisites & Notes ID 102, ID 103, ID 200 or permission of instructor. (Cr: 3)
