Gothic Literature introduces students to the concepts, critical theories and principal texts of the Gothic movement from the late 18th Century to the late 20th Century. Students will read a variety of novels and short stories which exemplify the Gothic genre, and study a selection of critical documents which explain and account for the enduring popularity of this compelling literary movement. Satisfies the Arts and Humanities and Writing Designated core requirements. (Cr: 3)
