Students are encouraged to investigate the reading process, the writing process, the rationale for the integration of listening, Speaking, reading, writing, and critical thinking by practicing all of these elements. Focus is on the principles and practice of language acquisition, rudimentary activities that encourage creativity and form in composition, and methods of developing, linking and expanding children's encounters with literature. Prerequisites & Notes ED 201 or permission of instructor. (Cr: 3)
