CFS 475 Teaching Practicum in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (EDS) Prerequisite: Completion of all required major and education courses for IECE program AND Admission to Student Teaching Offered: Typically alternate Fall Terms (next offered Fall 2009) Students in the Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education program will spend 12-14 weeks in various approved birth through kindergarten settings under the joint guidance of supervising teachers and the early childhood education faculty of the Child and Family Studies Department. Students will develop and implement learning environments and educational experiences for multi-ability and multi-age children and their families in home-based, center-based, and school programs. All students will attend weekly one-hour seminars. By the end of the teaching practicum, students will have completed all Education portfolio requirements. 3 Course Credits
