As needed This course focuses on the cellular and molecular structure and function of the human immune system. It will provide a conceptual background for understanding the development of the cells and mechanisms that form innate and adaptive immunity. The role of pathogens in the immune response, abnormal immune responses, and experimental manipulation of the immune system will also be discussed. Prerequisite: BI 280 or a 300 level biology course.
