This course is intended to help students achieve computer competency defined as a working knowledge of common computer terms, concepts, and history; proficiency in basic skills in Windows and Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint); proficiency in basic browsing and searching skills in Microsoft Internet Explorer; and the ability to send and receive e-mail and knowledge of e-mail conventions and etiquette.
