Seminar/Field Experience Practicum I Seminar/Field Experience is in introductory course of directed observation and participation in an elementary education setting (K-9 classroom) designed to provide an overview of teaching and learning. The course integrates field-based experiences with on-campus seminars. During Practicum I Seminar/Field Experience, candidates complete a minimum of 40 preclinical hours at a specified school, attend seminars, participate in exit conferences, and begin an electronic portfolio. Practicum I Seminar/Field Experience is an integral component of the professional sequence and admission to National College of Education is required. Prerequisite(s): Admission to National College of Education. 4 quarter hours
