Strategies for improving college-level vocabulary are taught with an emphasis on learning Greek and Latin word element, using context clues, and acquiring dictionary skills. Students also begin to acquire professional terminology for their chosen academic discipline. Designed for students who want to develop their vocabulary and learn strategies for comprehending and using new words. 2-4 quarter hours This developmental course can only be used for elective credit. Total degree credit for developmental courses is limited to 5 quarter hours.
