Description: This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of analytical chemistry. It covers sample treatment, statistical analysis of data, measurement errors, and applications of chemical equilibrium, kinetics, transport, light scattering, emission, and absorption to chemical analysis. The following analytical methods are studied: Volumetric, gravimetric, electrochemical, chromatography, and spectroscopy. The course includes lab. Prerequisites: MS132 AND (MS242 OR MS141 OR MS180 OR MS181 OR MS182) AND SC182 Credit Hours: 3 CR.HR.
