Description: This course is intended to prepare students having minimal mathematical backgrounds for college algebra and other quantitatively oriented courses. The emphasis is on building basic analytic reasoning skills. The course content includes numerical and algebraic expressions, solution of first degree equations, strategies for solving work problems, and the graphing of linear functions. Placement is determined by diagnostic testing. This course does not count towards a degree. A minimum grade of C is required. Prerequisites: Credit Hours: 3 CR.HR.
