Description: The improvement of psychosocial care of patients with terminal illness has been a major advance in modern health care. This course examines the concepts of hospice and palliative care. Historical and current traditions of society will be examined with an evaluation of public policy issues. The framework is the continuum of care with special emphasis on holistic care of the client.
