Description: The second of two world literature surveys, this course concentrates on literary works from the English Restoration to the modern era. The primary goal for the course is to define the role of literature as it occurs through a wide range of social, cultural and geographical contexts. Selected texts depend on student and instructor interest and may include Voltaire, Borges, Mahfouz, Tagore, Mishima, Garcia Marquez and Achebe. Prerequisites: EH200 Credit Hours: 3 CR.HR.
