A study of the figure through the understanding of anatomy and the use of a model. Reliefs, fully dimensional heads, and other figurative works of sculpture in clay are based on preliminary drawings. The special problems of firing ceramic sculpture are covered. Not open to students who have received credit for Art and Visual Culture 205. Open to first-year students. Enrollment limited to 15.
