Through practical exercises and hands-on experience, students learn the process of producing fictional television programs. Students are expected to take a one-half-hour television program idea (sitcom, drama, soap opera) from concept to final shooting schedule. This class emphasizes the business, management and marketing aspects of producing television programs as well as advanced production techniques required of fictional television both on location and in the studio. Prerequisites: MSCM 2500, 3210, and 3190, but MSCM 3210 may be taken concurrently with permission of the instructor. (3 Credits)
