A study of the fundamental principles of toxicology with emphasis on the chemical reactions and mechanisms involved. Topics include entry and fate of toxicants in the body, metabolism, toxic effects, and quantitation. A student completing this course will have a better understanding of the adverse effects of chemicals and other agents to human beings. Prerequisites: CHEM 2220/2220D, BIOL 1240. (3 Credits)
