This course is a survey of the nature, reactions and transport of chemicals present in the environment. Basic chemical principles and laboratory skills will be introduced as students study: Energy and Resources in the Environment, Toxic Substances, Energy Production, Water Quality, Atmospheric Chemistry, Soil Chemistry, Restoration and Waste Management.
