This workshop examines the characteristics of quality programming for school-age child care. The advantages and disadvantages of different community models as well as funding and implementation issues relating to the management of schoolage child care programs will be addressed. Students will gain field experience assessing the quality of school-age child care programs using one of several program evaluation instruments. This workshop may span more than one quarter. 2 semester hours
