Studies some of the following: Egyptian, Babylonian, Chinese, Native American, Hindu and European mathematics from prehistoric times through the Renaissance. Considers the lives of mathematicians and contributions of both men and women. Prerequisite: MAT 230 or 245, preferably both. Advanced.
