Focuses on developing, maintaining, and evaluating child care classrooms and programs. Students learn to assess staff, evaluate curriculum, communicate with parents, implement health care policies, and advocate for quality care. Issues are discussed in relation to research on children in group settings and the role of child care in society. Prerequisite: 300 practicum in Early Childhood concentration. Recommended elective for Child Care Specialist. Taken concurrently with or following Practicum Core II
