Molecules to Masterpieces helps students connect the art they create in Arts 11 / Arts 116 or the art they study in Arth 101 / Arth 201 to its chemical underpinnings. All of the classes in this connection look at art through an historical lens, focusing on what materials were used by artists in specific periods. Art, Color, and Chemistry adds the explanation of why those materials were useful in creating lasting, and sometimes not-so-lasting, works of art.
