Prerequisite: Two 100-level writing courses with a grade of "C" or better and juniorstanding, or permission of English chair. This is a study of 19th and 20th century drama including dramatists such as Ibsen, Chekhov, Shaw, Strindberg, Sartre, Beckett, Ionesco, Brecht, Pirandello, Williams, Albee, Garcia, Lorca, and Genet. This course satisfies the Humanities literature requirement for Arts and Sciences students. 3 cr.
