Prerequisites:. COMM 100 or the equivalent. Using industry-standard software such as Macromedia Dreamweaver for HTML editing, and Macromedia Fireworks for image manipulation; students will create, test, evaluate, and critique class work as well as existing web pages. Students will learn the fundamentals of web page design: Research, Typography, Contrast, Layout, Grid Systems, Identity, and Usability. Students will obtain a working knowledge of HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and JavaScript. 3 cr.
