This course investigates the structure and properties of ferrous and nonferrous metals, ceramics, composites and plastics. Various testing procedures for materials will be explored in the laboratory to correlate structural and physical properties with mechan-ical behavior. Additional topics include microstructural analysis, heat treatment, materials processing and engineering design applications. Prerequisite: CHEM110 Chemistry A. ACPE Course.
