Introduces five broad models for literacy research: literature review, case study, program evaluation, experimental and correlational study. Provides experience with quantitative and qualitative methods. Building on a literature review, students design research projects centered on questions deriving from their practice. Prerequisite: one graduate course in Language and Literacy; fulfills core requirement in research.
