Institution:
Western New England University
Subject:
Description:
Prerequisites: LSOC major and junior status or permission of the instructor. This course is founded on the notion that, just as the "Gettysburg Address" is both a politicaldocument and great literature, so, too, does much of past legal writing rise to such a level of splendid prose as we all may wish to emulate. In addition to plays and novels whose plots involve a deep legal milieu, this course will also study the clear prose of such writers as Coke, Blackstone, Marshall, and Holmes. 3 cr.
