Actual classroom teaching under supervision in cooperating schools, divided evenly between two non adjacent grade levels with direct participation in working with children. Conferences are held with the supervising teacher, college coordinator, and the student. Prerequisite: Formal application to student teaching and final vote Teacher Education/Admission Committee. Seminars are held at appropriate times during the semester. (ELEM 491 is taken for six (6) hours credit if SPED 499 is taken during the same semester.) Fee: $200. Credit, 12 hours. Offered Fall and Spring semesters.
