An in-depth study of one or more aspects of Hispanic culture. The particular focus of the course will change from year to year. Possible topics are medieval Spain, the Mayan civilization, 20th-century Spanish artists, contemporary Hispanic musicians, Hispanic cinema, and Caribbean cuisine. Taught in Spanish. Prerequisite: SPAN 232 or instructor consent. Credit, 3 hours. Offered as needed
