This course is designed to introduce students to writing in a professional environment for the mass media. The emphasis of this course is placed upon writing and editing news stories for both print and the Web. This includes writing various news stories under deadline while conforming to AP Style and implementing fundamental journalistic principles. Credit, 3 hours. Offered as needed.
