Actual classroom teaching under supervision in cooperating schools. Direct participation in working with young people. Conferences are held with the supervising teacher, college coordinator, and the student. Seminars are held at appropriate times throughout the semester. Prerequisite: Formal application to student teaching and final vote of the Teacher Education/ Admission Committee. (EDUC 492 is taken for six (6) hours credit if SPED 499 is taken during the same semester.) Fee: $200. Credit, 12 hours. Offered Fall and Spring semesters.
