As part of the Humanities sequence, this course works with HUMN 112 to examine Western culture from the rise of Christianity to the scientifi c revolution of the 17th century. Student papers and presentations focus on literature, art, and music of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, with attention to such non-western infl uences as Islam. Prerequisite: ENCO 101 and HIST 110. Corequisite: HUMN 112.
