This course is designed to provide a supervised and evaluated internship. It consists of at least two counseling sessions of observed and practiced counseling per week. Consequently, all assignments and teaching in counseling courses will be aimed not merely at giving Biblical content, but also at developing in students the skill to understand and apply Scripture in very practical and specifi c ways to the issues of life. A majority of the work done for this class will be done outside of the class meeting time. The practice of counseling involves applied theology, so this class is to encourage careful, critical thought in the proper application of biblical truth to the serious problems of people's lives.
