Comprehensive, hands-on study of electronic percussion, technologies relevant to the professional percussionist, including MIDI, audio techniques, programming, and sequencing. Introduces basic music computer notation. Detailed study of percussion controllers, trigger interfaces, triggering from acoustic drums, and various applications of MIDI percussion systems in live performance, studio recording, programming, and composition.
