Case studies and complex scenarios are used to provide the student with advanced systems administration skills in diverse environments. Topics will include distributed systems information, NDS partitioning, NFS and NIS, accounting, task automation, disk partitioning, replication, integrating diverse systems in a network, RAID, system backup strategies, and disaster recovery. Prerequisites: CS 240 and CS 270. Alternate years.
