Three Credits Alternate Years: Fall 2009, 2011 This course traces the events and conditions that led North American colonists to pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness through political conflict, revolution, and war. We will examine the breakup of empire in North America and consider how ordinary men and women, African-Americans, and Native-Americans responded to and shaped revolutionary events. Prerequisites: Junior and Senior only.
