Three Credits Fall and Spring Semesters Introduces students to the field of elementary education. Built both on abstract and concrete experiences: two-thirds of course time is devoted to historic, social, and philosophical foundations of education. Current issues and information concerning teacher certification are included in the course. Fieldwork directly with elementary children is included. Open to first-year or Sophomore-year students only. Pre-practicum: 16 hours in elementary school settings
