[Renumbered from PSY 101] Designed for Psychology majors, minors, and undeclared students with a strong interest in psychology. An introduction to basic principles of research in psychology, students learn about the scientific method, how to search for and evaluate psychological research, and conduct simple psychological experiments to illustrate what has been learned in PSY 1000. Students also learn APA style and basic methods of analyzing data using computer software. Prerequisite: PSY 1000. Three lectures and one lab hour per week. Lab fee. 4 credits. Fall and spring semesters; day.
