This course will cover the theory and practice of applying advanced quantitative techniques to solve business problems. Topics will include the application of the methodology of decision science in a business setting, business applications of probability and statistics, optimization methods, forecasting techniques, and project management. In order to foster the technological competence necessary in today's competitive business environment, analysis of data sets and problem solution using PC based spreadsheets, decision analysis, forecasting, and graphing software will be emphasized. Prerequisites: MAT 109 or MAT 202; MAT 301 or ORM 301. 3 credits. Offered as needed.
